So, I really loved this Forever21 collarless trench coat as a dress. I thought I’d make it a little more versatile for a date-night or something cozy and cute. California nights aren’t that cold, so we can get away with rocking a sandal at night. The one’s I’m wearing are by Ivanka Trump, which I scored at the Neiman Marcus Outlet. Surprisingly, they’re still available at 6pm.com for less than what I spent. Comfort is key for me too and these sandals are über comfy and easy to walk in. I opted for the baggy turtleneck sweater, because I like the contrast of a sexy leather skirt and baggy sweater and more so because sometimes you don’t need to flaunt it all. If it’s a short skirt I’ll cover up more on top or if it’s a loose or fitted top I’ll cover up more on bottom. In this case, since I wore a mini-skirt, which the trench coat covers in all the right places, I kept it covered up on top. The baggy sweater is from Zara, but I actually bought it at The Showroom in Pasadena. The Showroom is a curated designer re-sale shop that sells really great items from Chanel to Celine and pieces from affordable brands like Zara. They have all types of clothing, shoes, sunnies, and accessories. I bought a couple blouses and two sweaters for the price of two full-priced Zara knit sweaters. I’ve worn this sweater like 8 times since I bought it last week. The leather skirt is vintage, which my Mom thrifted for me years ago. It’s pretty tiny, short and small, so depending on what I eat I can’t always button it at the waist, but it’s so perfect. I think this look would look great with knee high boots, flat or high heel boots, or tights and pumps too.
Let me know if you get the trench or how you’d rock it! It’s such a great piece!
