This past week I was invited to Top Round Roast Beef to try their new breakfast menu. I always see the 70s looking fast food restaurant every time I drive up and down La Brea, but I finally made time to stop and try the restaurant out. If you’re craving a hearty breakfast, this is definitely the spot. It has a vintage vibe and the food is very reminiscent of your favorite fast food breakfast sandwiches, but the quality ingredients makes them pretty amazing. You’re getting tender and flavorful roast beef, brioche bread and onion rolls, plus fresh squeezed orange juice, with perfect ratio of pulp – to name a few. I was able to try ALL the breakfast sandwiches (Steak & Egg, Breakfast BLT, The Classic, Dagwood), but The Classic and the Dagwood were my favorites and my recommendations. And, don’t forget the Tator Tots. They totally take me back middle school, but they’re much better. I don’t always opt for hefty breakfast meals, but I think it’s a great treat every once and a while. This is definitely a spot I’ll be heading to recover from a night out with my girl friends or if I’m craving a BIG breakfast.
