Classic pieces never go out of style, but wearing them in a way that is fun or fresh is the challenge. I found a new love for this white shirt dress from Gap. It’s technically a shirt, but at 5’1 it’s kind of like a dress that needs bottoms paired with it, like shorts or in this case a skirt. You can’t really see this skirt, but it’s a really great pleated knock-off of an Alexander Wang skirt from his Resort 2014 collection, that I picked up at Forever 21. The real version is leather and besides the fact it’s not in my price range, I like the fabric version of mine, because it’s more versatile and easily wearable. This outfit is definitely more Resort wear, but California is going through a major heat wave, which is great if you were on Summer vacation and could hit the beach, but it’s terrible when you’re trekking across campus or have to over heat at work. I also thought the collar/choker was a fun piece. I’ve noticed some of my favorite blogger’s (The Man Repeller and WeWoreWhat) style them so effortlessly, so I decided to pick up this collar from NastyGal. NastyGal has really great variations at a decent price point. Although, accessories aren’t really my thing anymore, I’m trying to embrace them more, and I’m really happy with this piece. I’m thinking about adding this etched collar and this ariel collar (pay day couldn’t come any sooner).
