The fair holds a place near and dear to my heart. Amusement parks, Fairs, Carnivals, you name it, my Mom took my Brother and I. We have the best memories with our thrill seeking Mom, especially when we were kids and she’d force us on roller coasters. It was traumatizing as a kid, but we’re so thankful now, we’re totally obsessed with them. Yesterday, my Mom and I took a spontaneous visit to the fair, sadly my Brother couldn’t make it, but we made up for it in snapchats + texts. I had a blast drinking margaritas, jumping on rides, and eating my FAVORITE grilled corn with my Mom. We laughed and giggled and laughed some more. It was a really great Sunday and I’m lucky I get to spend days like that with her. We didn’t get too adventurous with the food, because my Mom has gnarly food allergies and I just didn’t want to have to deal with the stomach ache that follows eating carnival food. I also kept it simple with the outfit. My favorite Joes Jeans, which are supposed to be a “baggy boyfriend cut”, but are perfectly fitted, because I bought them 2 sizes smaller. The top I’m wearing is the Quixote Crop by Stone Cold Fox, which I scored it at their sample sale a view weeks back. And, I wasn’t in the mood for sneakers, so I wore the legendary Birkenstocks, brought my Clare Vivre Simple Tote and the Winona Sunglasses by Wildfox. The layered necklaces are all special pieces. The nameplate was a Birthday gift designed by my BEST FRIEND, when we were 10. The @IMLVH nameplate was a gift from my Mom for my Birthday and the two kissing bunnies with the letters M & C was a recent gift courtesy of 9th&Elm – a really great site for handmade goods. The M & C represent my Dad and Mom’s initials – wouldn’t be here without those two love birds. The OC Fair is almost over and I suggest a visit!! It’s a perfect date night, girls night, or date with your Mom. Happy Summer!!
