I attended a wedding for a dear friend this past weekend. This was my first summer wedding and it was absolutely beautiful. I was kind of on a budget, so I couldn’t really go out and purchase a full outfit for the wedding, but I’m really happy with what I was able to pull together. A couple months ago I was at H&M and found the fitted peplum skirt I’m wearing for $20. I didn’t know where I’d wear it at the time, but it’s made from the most beautiful fabric and I had to purchase it for the arsenal. It came in handy sooner than I expected, because it helped me pull together the outfit I’m wearing. H&M doesn’t sell it anymore, but ASOS has some similar peplum skirts, like this pencil peplum one and this short peplum one. The crop-top bustier is from NastyGal. I got my daily NastyGal email featuring blogger Stop It Right Now and their latest crop-tops and bustiers. I fell in love with the Cameo Found Out Bustier and realized it would go perfectly with my H&M skirt for the wedding, so I ordered it. Like I mentioned, I was on a budget and since the top was a bit pricey I opted for my favorite Schutz lace up booties – they go with EVERYTHING. Since the top was strapless and the skirt was mid-calf I decided to pull my hair up in a slicked mess-bun, inspired by an instagram post by hairstylist Jen Atkin and my H A I R board on pinterest. I borrowed a clutch from my Mom and finished the look with two layers of Ardell lashes and a smoky eye. It was a pretty simple outfit and I like having my outfits made up of pieces that can be worn more than one time – I’m excited to style the Cameo bustier in a more casual way.
