I thought I’d start sharing how to achieve a style or look, without hashing out the dough. If you’ve been following me, you know I’m ALL about affordable fashion. I wish I could afford my taste, but that doesn’t stop me from embracing versions of what I like. Right now I’m obsessed with Balmain. I’ve been about it, since Olivier Rousting took hold of the Balmain House back in 2011. If you’ve never heard of Balmain, you’ve definitely seen it on celebrities: Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Gigi Hadid, Kendal Jenner, or you’ve purchased outfits that are very Balmain inspired from Forever21 or H&M. Olivier been able to create sexy with taste, a very fine line that can be easily crossed. Olivier has combined strength, toughness, and femininity with sexy and I love it. He’s been quoted saying the Balmain woman is powerful, confident and sexy, she can wear a body-con dress or she’s covered up.  Its a brand that inspires my night-time wear.  I can’t afford the brand, but there are elements that can affordably be brought into your wardrobe. Think lace up heels, body con dresses, and waist cinching belts, but this time I was really digging the sheerness he’s done in his previous collections and especially for Spring 2016. I saw a picture of Bella Hadid going/leaving Balmain’s after party for his SS16 fashion show. I noticed the deep-v instantly and saw the sheer pattern underneath, which reminded me of a deep-v Phillip Lim Jumpsuit I’ve been wanting to wear. I love the jumpsuit, it fits perfectly, but the deep-v is a bit much. After seeing this photo of Bella Hadid I bought a sheer long sleeve body suit to layer under my jumpsuit.

The sheer long-sleeve bodysuit makes the jumpsuit tough and very Balmain-esque. It also makes the look a bit more Fall ready too. To tie in more Balmain I added a waist cinching belt from Forever21. It reminded me of black and gold studded Balmain belts. I really like this look I put together. I like how it’s very Balmain, it makes me feel strong and confident and I love it. I’m excited to say, I’ll be able to add Balmain into my collection soon, because H&M will be launching their Balmain collaboration.  Woot Woot.
