Lately, I’ve been collaborating with Forever21 and it’s a dream come true for me. I’ve been a big fan of F21. I love the affordability and the styles, but will admit I hate the lack of longevity. Their jackets, denim, skirts, and earrings are definitely pieces you can count on – trust me. Those are my go-to’s, but unfortunately, the tees, (some) dresses, and undies don’t last that long. But, I love that their clothes allow me to try a trend without have to invest too much. I get the chance to see if the trend is my vibe and if not I don’t worry about it, because I didn’t invest too much.
Today’s post is about their Denim. Like I said it’s a go-to for me and I discovered they’re now selling an affordably Levis, so definitely check that out. I got to pick out a couple new pieces of denim and they’re some new favs. I picked out 2 skinny stretch styles, which I recommend, because they’re super comfy they fit the curves in the right places. Although, I’m about a fitted high waist skinny jean, I love a classic high waist, wide leg crop denim too. And, lastly I picked out a pair of overalls, because I’m always on the hunt for a pair that fits my body type and the high waist wide-leg jeans I picked out are a great option.
The Denim Drop
Black Lace-up Skinny Jean
There is something cool and edgy about lace-up denim and this wash makes them way more wearable. Below you’ll see I’m rocking them with a lace up top, but also a cool hoodie and blazer. I love jeans that are versatile. These lace-up jeans are great for curves, because they’re stretchy, so they fit is super comfy. I have an obsession with white off-the-shoulder tops. but this one is fun, because it’s made from thicker fabric, making it perfect for colder weather. I also pulled out my Doc Marten Jadon boots for this look, but in this style video on Instagram I paired this top and jeans with my Zara snake skin boots and a great statement earrings.

Levis Skinny Jeans
I was super shocked when I discovered Forever21 sells more affordable Levis option. If you’ve been following then you’re aware that I’m Levis obsessed. And, if you’re new to IMLVH, then you can peep my vintage Levis obsession on Youtube. I’ve shared my denim collection and some DIY tips too, but I’m always styling my vintage denim on Insta too. This Forever21 pair had the cut of my favorite high-waist vintage pair, but super stretchy. I love the distressing too, because it makes it casual and edgy – my favorite combo. I paired them with a sparkly rhinestone belt and a simple white tank, you can see the jeans paired with a leather jacket too in this Insta post, but I can’t wait to pair these jeans with a baggy knit sweater or my favorite vintage rocker tees.
As much as I love a stretchy skinny denim, I love a non-trench cotton denim too. My whole vintage collection doesn’t have stretch, but when you get them tailored to you, they can fit perfectly and comfortably. This distressed pair is the closet to a my vintage favorites. I always stay true to size with cotton non-stretch denim, but with stretchy jeans I take one size smaller, because they tend to get loose with more wear. I really like how I styled these jeans. It’s chic and fun. I paired a neon-green turtleneck bodysuit with my favorite teddy bear coat. I like the mix of neon with something more polished and classy. Then I opted for my snake skin booties and a fun Forever 21 mini bag.
Overalls can be the most unflattering piece of clothing, but when you find a cut and style that works for you, they’re surprisingly chic. They’re also super comfy and would look great with a turtleneck and boots for a night out. I paired these overalls more casual with a hoodie and my Balenciaga sneakers. A white tee would look super effortless too. I really dig this cut and style. It nips in at the waist and it’s wide-leg, so kind of gives me length.
