MACARON CAFE

I think I discovered the perfect recipe for a great weekend and the perfect cure for the Monday blues: make sure your weekend is 1 part fun and 1 part relaxed. I’m saying that, because I couldn’t be any more ready and excited to start my Monday after my weekend. It was relaxed and fun, with an added dose of creative work. The majority of my Saturday was spent at home reading and eating Macarons from Macaron Cafe, which were kindly sent me to enjoy, so I snacked on them, while I read. The sun entered my room in the most beautiful way, so I had to photograph what I was up to. Ending a busy week eating Macarons and reading (Lena Denham’s Not that Kind of Girl + The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran) was also a nice way to prepare for a fun-filled weekend of Birthday celebrations and creative work. (Check my Instagram for proof.) I think I’m finally getting the hang of relaxing and enjoying home. As for the Macarons, they were divine! Super tasty and fresh, which was surprising, because they were sent to me in Los Angeles, all the way from New York!! If you’re in New York, Macaron Cafe is a must stop, and if you’re not, order them! They’re my new favorite reading snack, the ratio of creamy filling and soft-crunchy exterior (total oxymoron, but the truth) was divine and addicting. Did you notice the packaging? A Marie Antoinette-esque illustration all over the box. Super adorable and feminine – totally suited my relaxed and sweet Saturday.
