Black for Valentines Day (aka Galentines Day)? I think so. I’m a single girl and the only person I have to impress is myself. I think that’s the root of one of my life lessons: Wear and do what makes you happy. And, this skirt makes me happy. Not only was the skirt a crazy sale score, it’s by Pam and Gela. If you are not familiar with Pam & Gela, but were a BIG Juicy Couture fan like myself, then you know the gals. They are the original founds/creators/masterminds behind Juicy Couture. They were the visionaries of making sweatsuits cool and what my high school wardrobe was made up of. So, the ladies don’t run Juicy Couture anymore, but their line Pam and Gela is the modern version, or the 20 something and edgy version, of what Juicy Couture would be today and it makes me happy the essence of Juicy Couture (Pam and Gela) are still available in my closet. When my Mom came home with this skirt I knew wearing it with a black turtleneck would be a great pairing. I saw a picture of Gigi Hadid rocking knee high boots with a high slit skirt a while ago and knew my Steve Madden Gorgeous boots would be perfect. To finish the look, I topped it with my Nasty Gal Brixton Leather Jacket, giving me the perfect edgy, yet sexy Galentines look. I hope you all, whether you’re single (like me), in a relationship, or living the life of dating, have an amazing day and love filled day. But, never forget you have to love yourself first!
