Since, I don’t need to invest in a nice warm jacket to keep me warm in California, I do believe investing in a good boot for the Fall and Winter months. I’ve been eyeing a pair of Acne Pistol Boots and Isabel Marant’s Dicker booties for a while, but couldn’t bite the pullet and charge the credit card. Sometimes it’s nice to wait it out and see if you’re still in love with the so-called splurge you’ve been eyeing. I’ve waited about 3 years and I finally purchased them. If it weren’t for the crazy holiday shopping sales, I’d probably keep waiting. Thank goodness Shoescribe was having a sale, because I got them for a steal. They’re on sale right now, but the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales have passed, so you won’t get them for what I scored them for.
Like I said, I’m a big believe in investing in a good boot. A well-made boot is worth the investment, because it can easily be re-soled and repaired, unlike a less-expensive version with a synthetic sole, which is a bit tougher to preserve. A great boot is such a staple and you definitely won’t be disappointed. I’ve worn my Acne Studios Pistol Boots everyday, since they were delivered, so definitely no buyers remorse here. The olive green is unusual, but it surprisingly goes with a lot, it acts like a neutral. I can’t wait to wear them in the spring with dresses.
How cool is the scenery in these photos? Yes, I’m still in Southern California, but Orange County to be exact. The beaches are still so amazing in the Fall/Winter and I love the contrast of Fall clothes at the beach.
